Manual Keg Washer


Utilities Required:
·Water:20 GPM supply @ 50-60 PSI
·CO2:8 -12 CFM @ 20 PSI
·Air:8-12 CFM @ 40 PSI
·Cleaners – low foaming caustic, suitable non-rinse sanitizers
Regarding the electric power,the washer will be made according to customers’requirements.
Need about 20amps-30amps for the whole machine.
2X100L Reservoirs(Sanitizer and Det.)or any other cleaning solutions you will use.
Each reservoir with 1X(3KW-5KW)heating element and 1XPT100 sensor.
 
Left reservoir:Sanitizer
Right reservoir:Det.(Detergent)

There is a valve(back side) to connect the 2 reservoirs as one bigger reservoir if you would like to combine.
 
 
Operating Steps as follows:
1. Connect all the ports(G/H/I/J/K)to the corresponding sources.
2. Fill the sanitizer and Det. Full with 2/3 volume level of each reservoir
3. Shut off all the valves
4. Shut off all the switches
5. Connect electric power
6. Set temp controller to appropriate temp as you want
 
Pls keep liquid level inside of each reservoir above heating element,otherwise the element will got damaged.
Pls do not exceed the max pressure of kegs when you clean them,less than 15psi will be better.
Pls wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from liquid splash when you run the machine
 
1)Put Kegs onto Rack
a.Open keg couplers and ball valves
 
2) Discharge beer residual and depressurize Co2 from kegs
a.Open drain valve,discharge residual beer and Co2 pressure to drain from kegs
b.Apply air and blow-out any beer remaining to waste drain,close air valve
 
 
3)Pre-rinse kegs using water
a.Open drain valve,open water valve to rinse kegs
b.Apply some short burst of air(about 5 seconds) into kegs by air valve,close air valve
c.Rinse for about 10-15seconds
d.Manually close water valve about 3/4 shut for several seconds,then close water valve completely
e.Apply air and blow out all the liquid to waste valve,close air valve
f.Close drain valve and ensure all valves are closed when the step is completed.
 
4)Clean Kegs by using detergent
a.Open Det.return valve
b.Open Det.outlet valve,Start pump
c.Wash for about 10-20 seconds
d.Apply short burst of air(about 5 seconds) into kegs by air valve,close air valve
e.Close the pump
f.Apply air and blow out all the liquid back to Det.reservoir,close air valve
g.Close Det.return valve,ensure all the valves are closed.
 
5)Clean Kegs by using sanitizer
a.Open Sanitizer return valve
b.Open Sanitizer outlet valve,Start pump
c.Wash for about 10-20 seconds
d.Apply short burst of air (about 5 seconds) into kegs by air valve,close air valve
e.Close the pump
f.Apply air and blow out all the liquid back to Sanitizer reservoir.close air valve
g.Close Sanitizer return valve,ensure all the valves are closed.
 
6)Clean kegs using water again
a.Open drain valve,open water valve to rinse kegs
b.Apply some short burst of air (about 5 seconds) into kegs by air valve,close air valve
c.Rinse for about 10-15seconds
d.Manually close water valve about 3/4 shut for several seconds,then close water valve completely
e.Apply air andblow out all the liquid to waste valve,close air valve.
f.Close drain valve and ensure all valves are closed when the step is completed.
 
7)Pressurize Kegs with Co2
a. Open drain valve
b. Open Co2 valve to apply Co2
c. After 10-15seconds of purging the air with Co2,close drain valve
d. Apply 5-14.7psi Co2 Pressure into Kegs(determined by your BBT pressure rate)
e. Close Co2 Valve.
 
(You also insert steam cleaning during the cleaning steps)
8)Remove Kegs from Rack
a. Close keg couplers and ball valves
b. Remove keg couplers from kegs
